Founded by Jared Sanders and Bob Perez, Stephen Thomas Construction (formerly Speck & Co.) is a boutique general contracting firm located in Austin, Texas specializing in luxury remodels and new construction. Everything we build is to the highest possible standard and we strive to keep our clients updated and informed every step of the way. Jared (Stephen) Sanders
Director of Construction
Jared began his career working for his family’s landscape business out of Waco, Texas. In 2013 Jared relocated to Austin to work for a high-end residential design build firm. He then took a position with a highly esteemed national home builder where he honed his skills as a luxury home builder.
At Stephen Thomas Construction, Jared’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that all our projects are performed to the highest possible quality standard.
Jared is a graduate of Texas Tech’s Landscape Architecture and Horticulture program and spends his free time running on the trail, hitting the links or at the gym.
Bob (Thomas) Perez
Director of Operations
After an 11-year career working in business development, operations and project management for an energy consulting and market research firm, Bob followed his passion for building and design and co-founded Stephen Thomas Construction.
Bob’s extensive corporate experience serves as the foundation of Stephen Thomas Construction’s project management operations and ensures our clients always know where their project stands.
When he’s not in the office or in the field you can find Bob watching his beloved sports teams (Longhorns, Spurs, Lighting) running around Lady Bird Lake, swimming in Barton Springs or on the ice at The Pond Hockey Club.
